Great find! My daughter wanted to go to lunch today and picked this place! The bacon wrapped shrimp and grits was so good! Love it and definitely will go back! Short drive from Shreveport

This was a nice stop for the family on a trip for the holidays. The decor was nice and our waitress Juliah was very friendly and attentive. The food was brought out quickly as we all enjoyed the food we got, which ranged from kids Alfredo pasta, to buffalo wings, chicken fried steak, and shrimp and grits.

We really enjoyed eating here on our drive home. It was a unique and fun place to stop and our waitress was very friendly. I ordered the BBQ sandwich, my daughter ordered the Mediterranean wrap which was large with plenty of chicken. Our friends ordered the burger on a jalapeno cheddar bun and a bacon sandwich with apricot mayo. We all got the seasoned fries which were very good and everyone enjoyed their meals. We will definitely go back if ever in the area again.

Yum!!! 2nd time here and was delicious! We both had the onion rings for appetizer!! We also both had the catfish special and the dinner all was great. Great service as well. Maybe next time we won't be so full and can have dessert

We were passing through and based on reviews, I thought we'd give it a try. Thumbs up from all of us! Mom had the catfish, my husband had the chicken fried steak and I had a burger with bacon. All fantastic! The town square itself is super cute too. I wish I had time to visit some of the shops.

A hidden treasure! I think we went around the "circle" 10 times, and we saw this little quaint Cafe and had to stop. I'm in a manual wheelchair so my friend had to park and go make sure it was wheelchair accessible. After deciding how we'd get up on the sidewalk (there was a ramp, but we had to walk 1/2 a block), we walked to the restaurant. We could smell the deliciousness the closer we got. It was lunchtime that was obvious because almost every seat was taken! It was literally bursting at the seams in there. It was hopping with the chatter from the locals and the clink of silverware meeting plates as people scrapped up every bite. We found one small table for 2 right at the door... literally right by the door jam. We munched on the free chips and salsa while perusing the menu. We are bothing eating very wisely as we are on a weight loss journey. I've lost 100 lbs in 11 months, and most restaurants don't have much that I can eat. I noticed their healthy choices of soups and salads, and I got excited. My friend got a soup and I got a cobb salad. I did have some ingredients changed but our server was so kind and did a wonderful job. The food was superb. I felt like I was at a 5 restaurant ... that's why I gave them 5 's. My friend slurped up her soup and my fork was making the clink, clink, clinking as it hit my plate, just as the local were. We ate far too fast but the food was absolutely divine, not to mention the good service. People finished and left just in time for someone else to come in. There was someone waiting to be seated the entire time we were there. It's an experience you must have. We didn't just find a new favorite place to eat when we go to Carthage...eating at The Texas Tea Room was an entire experience that I think everyone must have! Drop by and eat while enjoying the small town love!
